Work & Finances

Fitness gives me the ability to cope with the everyday stresses of a busy lifestyle.

When people find out how many hours I work each week I am often asked how I manage to keep up the stamina to do all I do and still keep a positive outlook on life. To me, the answer is simple – strength and fitness is the key.

Life Force is where I find my me time – a space of freedom and fortitude. It’s where I unwind from my hectic day and regain my energy and determination to repeat the process all over again the next day.

Fitness gives me the ability to cope with the everyday stresses of a busy lifestyle. It gives me power, energy and confidence. And what’s more, I feel great! Who wouldn’t want that?

So go on, make a commitment to change your life – the rewards are boundless.

I have taken on a job as project manager of a large fabrication job and the stress levels have gone through the roof. 60hr plus weeks but I feel good

I have been with Lifeforce for a few years now and it can be difficult to evaluate exactly what I am getting out of it?

BUT

If I stop and think of things I do in everyday life, or what people say about me (be kind) in everyday life it shows what I have actually achieved.

There are many things I ”just do” and don’t think about it.

Examples.

At the beginning of 2011 I had to carry out work on some in-situ wind towers. These are 80m vertical climbs and there were 5 of them.

I had a 21yo assistant with me. Vertical climbs with a full harness and extra equipment adding about 10kgs to your own weight are killers.

I did the 2.5 hr drive to site. By the 4th tower the assistant completed the climb as I was packing up the job at the top. I had finished.

On the 5th Tower I suggested he stayed on the ground (he was most grateful) and I did the job and then drove home whilst he slept??

A few weeks back I stayed back at work and did a 16hr day to help with maintenance.

The last 4 hrs of the day I was scraping dirt from a roof out of a knuckle boom. I felt good and just kept going.

Even though I was 1hr late the next day, (yes I slept in) I still felt great.

This year I have taken on a job as project manager of a large fabrication job and the stress levels have gone through the roof.

60hr plus weeks but I feel good.

Last week I was at a relative’s 40th birthday and was chatting with another relative and comment came how I always looked presentable and happy!!

Sure I am patting myself on the back but at 57years old I think I can.

I make sure I get to my work outs (kickboxing and a PT session).

I don’t really think about what I can do but when I stop and think, like above, I realise that life is good and Lifeforce has been giving me the energy and fitness to enjoy it all.
