Throughout all this Liam has been an excellent instructor, PT and mentor.

Just over 3 years ago I was sitting at home being “Norm” when my wife came home from a kick boxing class and suggested I should go. I hadn’t been doing any serious exercise since quitting basketball 12 or so years before.

I did a small stint at a gym but without a Personal Trainer (PT) I’m not well motivated. However, if I commit to a team or similar I make it happen.

I’m not really into the “bootcamp” style of exercise and I hate getting up early.

I’m in my mid 50s and kick boxing suited me.

Three years later I kick box twice a week and have Liam for a PT once a week.

When the second class started for kick boxing this is what I needed. My fitness grew very quickly and now I think I have what I want.

My weight didn’t change until I changed my eating habits. I didn’t go on a diet but ate less and with more control and dropped 5kgs at an appropriate rate. (Yes I could lose more but I enjoy food and life. This is my choice.)

Throughout all this Liam has been an excellent instructor, PT and mentor. The personal training at home has been tailored to what I want. I no longer have sore knees. I know when I have an injury/soreness as against muscle soreness from exercise. There is a new workout routine every 6 weeks and so all muscle groups keep getting worked. Liam has advised on diet, mental well being and regularly enquires as to what I still want to achieve. How he keeps positive with my sense of humour I will never know??

I feel confident, happy and enjoy keeping up the standard of fitness I want. The people I kick box with are great. All ages, mainly ladies (but this is gradually changing), but all keen and trying to achieve their goals.

I think I have reached my goals, but definitely want to maintain them.

To get where I am has taken time, but I have enjoyed the company and the direction to get there.

The exercise classes I have taken are what I enjoy but those doing Fit 4 Life, Bootcamp, Pilates etc is what they enjoy. You just have to start and remember any age or gender can do it.

Started a Pilates group, I’ve never really gone to anything like this before, a mother of two, finding the time to eventually do something for myself, first class I went to, had mixed emotions of excitement and a little nervous of what to expect, I was made to feel very welcome and don’t worry about what you can do and what you can’t do, phew, I had so much fun, I felt great about myself an energy was released for doing it, I’ve booked myself in for more classes, I was even calmer around my children, I wasn’t telling them off every 5 minutes, I highly recommend these classes, it’s a great experience not only for you but for your family to release that beast out of you.

I am proud to say…I’ve lost 4 kg and dropped a total (so far) of 32 cm FAT!!!…

We have a special wedding come up and I had very little motivation! I knew that I certainly didn’t want to be “frumpy” and my husband had tried his very best to get me motivated to diet and exercise to acheive my goal with very little success.

We went to “come and try” after speaking to Srge Muldoon and that was oookkkkkk except we left early due to extreme exhaustion…Sarge rang in the afternoon to check on us and to his suprise we were still keen to sign up!

We have not looked back…. I have found the motivation and am extremely pleased to say that I have found the energy and  enthusiam to get up at 5.15am twice a week, brave the elements and then give everything at the sessions…

I am proud to say…I’ve lost 4 kg and dropped a total (so far) of 32 cm FAT!!!…

It doesn’t matter what fitness level you are the instructors tailor the session to suit the individual.

I love going out to Fit 4 Life because its outside in the forest and you never know what you’ll be doing in the session its always different. I use to love going to the gym but this is so much better. It doesn’t matter what fitness level you are the instructors tailor the session to suit the individual. The group is really friendly and encouraging.

Getting fit in the great outdoors, surrounded by a lush cool forest, is fantastic. Everyone should exercise this way. Give that smelly old gym the flick and try it for yourself. The program is personalised even though you are in a group, but at the same time you are constantly challenged. I also do kick-boxing with LIFE FORCE, but it’s not outdoors. Even so, it’s great fun whilst getting fit at the same time. I have been training with this group for nearly four years now. I highly recommend it.
