We’ve heard it all before. So here are the answers to your questions regarding our strength and fitness programs.

1. Training is a horrible experience.

You can’t get fitter and stronger by just wanting it to happen, you have to work at it. It can get you out of your comfort zone & can feel uncomfortable, however it ALSO feels great at the same time. When you get stuck into it, your body releases endorphins (the happy hormone) and you feel on top of the world.

If our training was truly horrible, no one would return and we wouldn’t have an 80% return rate.

p.s. the feedback we receive from anyone who does stop training with us is largely due to outside work, sport or family commitments.

2. It’ll take years to see any results.

Untrue! Your body is an amazing machine, unlike mechanical machines it actually changes as you sleep (that’s why we sleep every night, so the body can repair itself). After your very first session, your body automatically begins to improve the neurological, endocrine, cardio respiratory system, circulation, not forgetting creating more muscle fibres as well as making your current muscles work more efficiently.

It may take a long time to get to become the elite athlete we all want to become, however those years are going to pass by anyway, you may as well get started now.

3. Training isn’t fun.

What? No way! We know full well that if you didn’t enjoy our training then you wouldn’t return, and if you don’t return then you wouldn’t get the results you’re after. We design our programs scientifically to achieve real results, and then we look at how to deliver them in a fun, social and exciting format.

Every new person that joins in with us is always amazed at the encouraging atmosphere in all of our sessions. Don’t take our word for it, book in for a FREE Come & Try and see for yourself.

4. I need to be stronger and fitter before I can begin training.

It’s not how strong or fit you are when you begin that counts, it’s how much you improve.

Everyone single person at our sessions are striving to improve their strength and fitness. If everyone was strong and fit before they needed to begin a training program, there wouldn’t need to be any training programs at all would there?

5. I won’t be able to do the activities.

Each and every one of our fully qualified instructors, are extremely experienced in the art of exercise progression and regression. Every exercise and activity can be adjusted to be easier or more difficult to suit each individual. Whatever your requirements, you will be able to do the activities with everyone else.

6. Everyone will see how weak and unfit I feel.

The only expectations there are, are the expectations you put on yourself. No matter how strong or fit you are, it’s human nature to want to be better. We understand that you will feel weak &/or unfit, however the focus in all of our programs is always on effort & not on performance. As long as you put the effort in, on one notices what you do or how you do it.

7. I’ll be laughed at and yelled at.

NO WAY! One of the ways we provide motivation is through the group dynamic. It’s pretty difficult to feed off of someone else energy if you’re the only one out there. So if there were any negative comments made whatsoever, we would eject that person from the group.

In order to get a positive output from our sessions, we provide positive input.

8. Everyone else will be ‘held up’ because of me.

All of our activities are graded to suit all strength and fitness abilities so that everyone is beginning form the same level playing field. No one is ‘held up’ because everyone starts at the same time & finishes at the same time.
